Brazil Potato Question

Do potatoes grow indoors?  I'd love to attempt this science experiment but don't want to bother with the mess if they won't grow inside.

    I was planning on trying it indoors...have no idea if it will work or not! My oldest son seems to have a bit of a green thumb...

    A friend of mine told me that it should work, so we are definitely going to try it. We cut the potato today and it's drying out. I'm anxious to see what happens!
