It's so nice hear...Thank you for your comment. It's so nice hearing from you.

I really love the AIG science. I speaks in ways we are able to understand. I was wondering what the high school programs were like.

Don't feel bad about the pine cones. You'll get around to it. We had some in the garage that we collected at least 2 or 3 yeas ago! It's a fun activity with minimal mess. It is time consuming though, so once you start, plan on sticking with it for a while. We did ours on the stove, but it would be much more fun to do them over a fire. :)

I'm guess that you may be somewhat close to DC or Williamsburg? My friend just told me that Williamsburg has homeschool days in February. Oh, how I would love to go for that! I ...Can you really have too many Christmas lights? I love the warmth it brings to the house. I think the hardest thing all year is taking the tree down and settling into the darkness after having the tree in the living for December. I dread it like the plaque. You are a good woman. I hate stringing the lights. It has been Allen's job for some time. He bought a pre-lit tree when he realized I was not taking back the responsibility. The lights started to go on that tree and he bought a new one. Can you tell we both really hate stringing lights? ☺

Our family used to love bowling. There is not really any place to go around here anymore. There used to be 3 allies but two closed down and now you can never get a lane at the 3rd because it is always booked with league bowling. But it is a shame because it was a nice family activity. We used to go after church on Sundays about once a month or so.

We have been dying to go to the creation museum for so long. Every time we think we are going to do we end up backing out. It is an 8 out drive from our place which is just a little too long to do for a weekend trip. One of these days we will get there.

We used the God's Design series a few years ago. We have gotten some wonderful science material from AIG. Last year we used a highschool chemistry program that was so fascinating our preschooler sat through the entire year with the other kids. They are eagerly waiting for the release of Physics.

Last winter I gathered a bunch of pinecones and saved all my candle scraps to make fire cones... I never got around to it. The pine cones are still looking pretty in a basket on the hearth where I put them to dry. Maybe this winter? Love the way you put the bag together.

Glad to hear all is chugging along in good health and happiness! Happy 2013.

Hugs,

KatKathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01214169887240603175noreply@blogger.com
